Bishop Museum

We went to the Bishop's Museum today, and I got to ride snails, pretend to be a centipede and control a huge volcano! It was especially fun this time because I got to go with Bella and Lily. Bella is Aleric's best friend in the whole world and Lily is her little sister.

Here I am warning my Hawaiian Land Snail friend about a giant hawk that is looming over head. He told me that he had yet to meet a hawk that could hurt him and that I could relax.

Mommy is showing me proper lifting technique. She sure is strong!!

Aleric is the ringmaster but this lion is being unruly. I don't even know this lion to be honest...It is my turn to be the ringmaster! Aleric is stalking up behind me as a leopard.

Resting at the Park

We finally convinced Mommy and Daddy to take us to the park but by the time I'd walked all the way there I was feeling a bit tired. Ok, so I wasn't tired but this bench looked too comfortable to pass up.

Aleric decided to join me. He is always there to try stealing the spotlight from me. Thank goodness I'm cuter!!

Super Girl Outfit

This is my belly button. You can see it because I am showing you my layered custom costume created for crime crushing. That's right, I'm the next vigilante crime fighter here to sweep our streets clean of those that would harm small kittens and take home bouncy balls that don't belong to them.

High Speed Travel

I had been scooting myself around for a few minutes when Daddy got home from work. He decided to give me a hand and show me what speed feels like.

Daddy was pushing me at top speed down the road when Aleric got this hair brained idea to park his bike right in my path. Well, when you're traveling that fast turning is not really an option. Knowing this Daddy leapt out in front and pushed Aleric out of the way but was not quite fast enough to avoid me hitting him. Turns out high speed crashes are a lot of fun!! Although I did end up hanging nearly up-side down...

Space Travel

Aleric received his new Rocket Ship in the mail a few days ago. Before our launch we decorated it with markers Daddy gave us, posed for a few pre-launch photos and before we knew it it was T-1 and we were taking off!

Auria:"Watch out for that comet!!"
Aleric:"Seriously Auria, you think I didn't see it? Can't you see I'm turning left to avoid it?!"

Auria:"Aleric? What is that green thing?"
Aleric:"Auria, I have no idea but I think we should be moving along now..."

Auria:"I thought the moon didn't have people..."
Aleric:"Well explain this mess then Auria. NASA is going to be hearing from me."

My Victory

Daddy gave Aleric his old PSP before he knew I was coming along and would eventually want one too. This is sometimes a problem because I would really like to enjoy a portable movie or game every now and then but Aleric is always using it. I convince Daddy to give me another one of his toys, his iPod, and then turned on "Finding Nemo" which just so happens to be one of Aleric's favorite movies. Within 30 seconds I had the PSP in my hands and I had won. :D

Being Cheesy

Cheese and pretzels. They've always gone together well.

Plush Parenting

When I hit Aleric or Mommy or Daddy or Daddy's laptop or the table or.... Ok, so if I hit anything I get put in time out and told that I should not hit. Well, today I caught my bear hitting his friend for reasons that neither would divulge to me. So I just stuck that bear in the time out position and scolded him repeatedly so that he would know not to do it again. I said "Sit down!! Stay!! No hit!!" until it seemed that it had sunken in to his soft fluffy head. I don't think I'll catch him doing that again. After he was done paying penance for his crimes against fellow fluffy toys, I told him that he had to go say sorry to his friend. Mommy was laughing the whole time. I don't know why, but I guess she laughs at my misery in the timeout position sometimes too, no wait, that's Daddy that's doing the laughing. Mommy takes it very seriously.

Walking A Mile In Daddy's Shoes

Ok, so maybe not a mile, but at least 50 feet cumulative. I had real trouble getting them on the right feet and then I kept tripping over my own toes. I'm wearing the dress Daddy got me too! He's been pretty nice to me lately, I guess my cuteness is wearing him down.

Pajama Party

Mommy's Mommy sent me some great pajamas for Easter. I like that the pants are big enough that I can put them on and take them off mostly by myself without getting both legs stuck in one hole. Minny is one of my favorite mice too!

Mommy! Baby Brother needs a bink!

Baby Brother is not very happy stuck in the middle of the two of us.

Gymnastics

I don't think I can really say how much I enjoy Gymnastics. Not only do I get to dance and jump and climb and roll, I get to hang out with Daddy too! The only problem is that once I start getting into an activity, they tell me that it's time to move on to the next one. This leads to me throwing tantrums (can anyone say embarassing?). This week I started to get the hang of tumbles and a few more parts to that dance we did last week. The trampoline is fun but my feet still can't agree on which one of them should leave the ground when I try to jump. I almost mastered the balance beam. I can place one foot solidly in front of the other but when I get near the end of the beam I get distracted by the prospect of stepping off that I often lose my footing. All said, this was one great idea by Mommy!

Easter Eggs!!

Coloring eggs is a lot of fun. My approach was to throw the eggs into the cup in hopes that the splash would color Daddy as well as the eggs. He didn't find it as funny as I did though. Once I figured it has sat in one cup long enough I would pretend to reach for it so that Daddy would take it out and place it into the next cup I pointed at. It was in this fashion that I created the beautiful eggs displayed in this post.

Privacy?

Lately Aleric has been peeing in the stationary potty instead of relying on the portable, wearable version that I prefer. I'm not sure why he would do that so in an effort to understand his motives I gave it a shot myself. He was very encouraging and even offered to sit with me. Mommy found this very funny and whipped out the camera.
